Prideful people don’t realize their needs. And that’s what I had become; prideful. I wanted to fix all my problems I had with my life and with Josh by myself. I thought my problem was all in my head. I didn’t need help from God or anyone else. Wrong! I was seeking the wrong kind of independence, and didn’t recognize that as a sin. God always resists those who oppose his rule and choose not to follow him.
I needed to humble myself. I had too much pride and didn’t want to believe that God had power over me. Avoiding and resolving conflicts without God’s help is a merry- go –round of craziness. I wanted to cover my whole body with the armor of God to guard me from Satan’s power.

Joy in the fellowship of God : Proverb 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding.
3:6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And he shall direct your paths.
Resolving my problem was going to take time and patience that I didn’t have. I wanted it resolved with a snap of the fingers. My return to having patience and understanding of God’s Holy Spirit required me to believe that Christ was in control of me. God was trying to keep me from resisting his grace and forgiveness. Previously, he had used his help, favor, and blessing to humble me. But humble people don’t demand their own way. Humble people admit their needs to God. Humble people don’t seek the things of the world to validate themselves.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
